| Not a fan of Country |
[15 Nov 2008|01:40pm] |
I am definitely not a fan of country. Never really watched American Idol either. But holy shit is this girl amazing. Carrie Underwood. She brings out so many different emotions. She's beautiful but she has a brain. Her voice is incredible. You guys all probably know more about her than I do, being that I know nothing at all. But here's what I do know.
"Just A Dream" is so touching. Ive heard the song before and I knew it was sad, but this video makes me want to cry. It gives me the chills.
I can't find an embedded version of the video of "Before He Cheats" but please watch it. If you've ever been cheated on, GOD it just feels so right hearing a girl project all those feelings you had. A guy loving his car and treating girls like objects. Knowing that the girl he cheated on you with is no better than you, but rather, a loser. The fact that you KNOW he's doing all the same things with her that he did with you. Same lines, same nicknames, same moves. She's singing basically exactly what happened to me. I did not trash his car, but how many plans I drew up to do so, I cannot count.

This past week, Victor has been absolutely incredible. He's been there for me every second to talk to and has been helping me out with food/money... a lot. To the point where I'm feeling kinda guilty taking all this kindness. The past week and a half Ive been broke. Completely. But when I get paid after this week, I am going to take Victor out to dinner and give him back scratches (he loves those) and give him a night where he can be as happy as Ive been the past week. I really do appreciate him more than anything.
This morning was my first session with my therapist. Her name is Judy and she's the same one I had when I was 14. The hour went by so fast! and it was amazingly easy to talk to her. I would love to see her every week, if not more often, but we dont have the money to make it a regular thing. Huge bummer. She practically completely changed the way I felt about the accident in one hour. And there's a few more things I want to work on about myself that would make me a happier and better person in general.
Last night I was talking to Victor till 3am cause he had a lot on his mind about the band situations (he quit Disco if you havent already heard). But then I had to wake up before 7am. Harsh. Not even a 4 hour sleep. I made the trip to Judy, which was over an hour because of traffic, and then went to Victor's. Got there by 10:30am. We hung out all day. Just laid around, watched tv, he fell asleep for a little while, he made us breakfast. :D It was a really nice day. We literally just laid around for about 8 hours, enjoying each other's company.
Does anyone know where the new vegetarian restaurant is in coral springs?
And Im looking forward to seeing Juan, Missy, and Ree this Sunday!

Mr Bungle: Phlegmatics |
] |
I made my Playlist to run by and myself and the_jen put it to the test last night. It was pretty easy and fun just sort my music by length and then pick away. Not as much brain scratching as your average mixtape shenanigans. I think it took about ten minutes all told.
5 Min walk: Dan Le Sac V's Scroobius Pip: The Beat That My Heart Skipped. 3 Min run: Electric Eel Shock: Do The Metal 1.5 Min walk: Melt Banana: It's in the Pill Case 5 Min run: Carter USM: Blood Sport For All 2.5 Min walk: Marvin Gaye: Baby Don't You Do It 3 Min run: Gnarls Barkley: Crazy. 1.5 Min walk: Deerhoff: Heart Failure 5 Min run: Chrome Hoof: Eggs and Bass (1.5 min), Electric Eel Shock: Suicide Rock and Roll (2.5 min), Dead Kennedys: Nazi Punks Fuck Off (1 min). 5 min walk: 65daysofstatic: Install a Beak in the Heart
Special thanks to azulskies who's November mix reminded me of the Marvin Gaye song, thanks dude! Also I know having two songs by one band is a mixtape faux pas but E.E.S. had to made two appearances due to their sheer awesomeness.

I hate people that are so tough, they have to whisper under their breath. I hate people who dont appreciate anyone or anything. I hate cops who disobey the law. I hate cops who let dumb asses get away with things so that they can get away with things themselves. I hate feeling replaced. I hate having no friends. I hate driving an hour to school just to come home after 30 minutes of nothing. I have living every day like its my worst. I hate being paranoid of something bad happening. I hate being afraid of the dark, driving at night, and other drivers. I hate that even though we experienced a traumatizing event together, you still have not changed. I hate AOL news.

65daysofstatic: the fall of math |
] |
I started running recently using the couch_to_5k plan. I kinda outline why I've started running in my journal here. Basically it involves a healthy fear of both zombies and time-travelling naked. So hi, my name's redd and onto my inevitable question.
Up to now I've been using the stopwatch on my phone to time the intervals but a combination of shaky vision and stopping the count by involuntarily mashing the keypad with my hand means I'm looking for a new way to time myself. Time for a playlist. I've two criteria, the song has to be as close to the exact length of the interval as possible and the songs for the running sections need to be the type of songs that make you dance around your bedroom / kitchen/ cell like a loon, I need all the help I can get. punk, metal, electro mashups whatever as long as it'll keep my legs moving. I'll dig it.
The intervals go as follows, 5 minutes walking warm up, then X 2: 3 minute run, 90 seconds walk, 5 minute run, 2and a half minute walk which on the last round turns into a 5 minute walking warm down. It mightn't seem like much but it'll probably kill me.
so any help would be great, I'll post it up when I'm finished.
crossposted to couch_to_5k and my own journal.

There was a guy that posted a bulletin saying this:
From: †Lover boy Date: Nov 7, 2008 5:21 PM
Subject: "be fruitful and multiply" Body: Can't do that thru the asshole! Prop 8 passed. Haha
So... I replied to his email saying this:
( Its all under here... )
He didn't message me back after that. I'm deleting and blocking him. My arguement isn't very good.... but neither is his. It just pissed me off that he said that. I had a good buzz going on... but this sobered me up quickly (also the smell of my sister's smelly feet... Bleh... still smells in here).
